Day 05

Mood of the day:
Today we had our first day 'working' a job and we did good. It actyally felt like I've been doing this forever and its nothing special anymore. My urge to chew, my hunger have completely subsided and made room for energy and clarity. This is starting to get pretty awesome. The only disappointment about today is that I had another episode of wanting crispy fried french fries, specially after driving past In and Out burger. But that is just so silly. I didn't even really eat fries in the first place but just because I can't now, I want it. It's a thing called reverse psychology.

On the Menu:

water w mineral drops
water w lemon & cayenne

smoothie:
water & meat of 1 young coconut
handful of blueberries
2 kiwi's
20 goji berries
1 t. yumberry powder

10 white cabbage leaves
1 head of celery
1 stalk of lemongrass
1 bunch of mint
1 granny smith apple
1/2 cucumber
2 limes

hot water w 1 t. maca, 1 t. lucuma and 20 goji berries

potassium broth with added cilantro and 1/2 of avocado

Day 04

Mood of the day:
I knew that by day 04 it was going to be much easier, I think its just a matter of adjusting. Although the entire day I had the same question going trough my mind...'how long am I going to do this?'. It all fun and easy now because there is not much work, but tomorrow will be the test. My first work day. I will have to juice all the juices tonight, pack them on ice and bring them to the job. I was happy to score two boxes of coconuts for under $20 at the asian market. I'm going to try to keep the weight on by adding more coconut and avocado. We'll see what happens!

Day 03

Mood of the day:
Headache is gone, hunger is gone. For now. Great start of the day. I went to the farmers market today and got some amaaaazing produce. Fresh wheatgrass, the best mint I've ever seen, as well as some cabbage and lemongrass. Some inspiring new ingredients. I felt much colder today, but to get warm I did some Wii games and had some hot tea. I am loosing about one pound per day which can turn a little problematic soon. I am keeping a close look at it for now but might have to add some fatty's like avocado.

Day 02

Mood of the day:
Today started off quite nicely. I seem to have a calm over me, specially when driving the car.
It seems like my brainfog is slowly fading. My husband on the other hand keeps talking about wanting junk food. I try to focus his mind on something else.
I went out today, just to run a few arrands. I noticed that instantly I needed to pee. It really takes some planning when you want to leave the house, but I think I can get used to that.
I went for a nice hike in my neighborhood but because of all that excersise I got really hungry. With that came a light headache. Soon after nurishing myself with a nice salad and soup it all went away. I am anxious to find out what tomorrow will bring. I can already see my skin clearing up. Was in bed early with a pretty big head ache, hope it will be gone by the time I wake up.

Day 01

Mood of the day:
It is January 1st, 2010. Today was the kick off of the cleanse. I am very motivated, I am just very curious how long my husband is going to hang on. But every juice he drinks makes me very happy so I will keep good faith in him ;-) I was not very hungry, I made sure that when ever I had food thoughts, I had a juice in front of me. I never hit a point of hunger. I noticed that I do better when I avoid the things that distract me - such as TV with endless food commercials. I picked up a book in stead!
I got up later than I wanted. Last night was NYE. I had a slight headache that started after lunch, probably my sugar addiction that wants attention. I am just going to ignore that altho my husband had some banana's and was craving bad foods and saying he was hungry but in fact never drank the whole glass of juice. So all and all I had a pretty good first day!

Hi and welcome to my super cleanse blog. I decided to go on a cleanse and this blog is a journal for myself, as well as a way to share knowledge with others.

After I did lots of research, I customized the cleanse to accommodate my own taste, needs and goals. To prepare for this big feast I was able to find some amazing tools, all which I listed here below. I decided that I was also going to incorporate fruit smoothies (in the morning), energy soups for lunch, green juices for in between, potassium broth and a small sprout salad for dinner. I also added in superfoods and supplements. I stay away from fermented foods to the exception of Kombucha.
